Itsy Bitsy Quilting

A handmade quilt is one that is made with love and care. Fabrics are chosen from the best quality. A factory quilt is made with the most inexpensive  materials. A handmade quilt is sewn together with an eye for precision and for durability. A factory quilt is sewn together with speed being top priority. A handmade quilt is quilted to enhance the piecing, and with a feeling for how the stitching looks and holds together. A factory quilt is quilted with speed not quality.

We use the term "Handmade Quilt" here to describe our quilt  a being special and one of a kind. Since each quilt patchwork is cut by hand and hundreds of hours go into making these beautiful heirlooms. I only make 2 or 3 per year.

A quilt is an expensive heirloom to purchase, but it can last you for years  to come. I am a proud owner of a beautiful quilt that dates back to 1840.

A quillow is a quilt with a reversible pocket strategically sewn on the quilt so it can be folded up to fit inside the pocket, making it a pillow. These are the perfect sleepover accessory for kids to take with them or a nice item to keep in the car on long trips. They have so many uses, great gifts!!!
